CBS Television Distribution has snagged the former president of rival Telepictures as its new president of creative affairs. B&C reports that veteran executive Hilary Estey McLoughlin has landed the job and will oversee first-run syndication programming and new series development.

Her oversight will include shows such as "Dr. Phil," "Rachael Ray" and "Judge Judy." She will report to CBS Global Distribution Group Chief Executive Armando Nunez.

Her most recent role was as president of Telepictures, which she left in July after parent Warner Bros. Television tapped Mike Darnell to run unscripted, alternative and first-run programming, the piece notes. At Telepictures, she produced and developed programs including "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and "Bethenny."

"The company’s current slate includes freshmen ‘Arsenio’ and ‘The Test’ and stalwarts ‘Judge Judy,’ ‘Entertainment Tonight,’ ‘Dr. Phil,’ ‘Wheel of Fortune,’ ‘Jeopardy!’ and ‘Rachael Ray,’" B&C notes. "Next up is ‘Serch,’ a syndicated daytime hourlong talk show hosted by 1980s rapper MC Serch, which will begin a four-week test run on Tribune stations in eight markets, including New York and Los Angeles, on January 6, 2014."
