An NBC comedy series is off the schedule for the time being, with the network saying it will come back. The Huffington Post reports that the network announced a scheduling move that will leave "Parks And Recreation" on the sidelines for three weeks.

The move takes effect starting this Thursday, Oct. 24.

"In the place of ‘Parks’ on Thursday, NBC will air an episode of ‘The Voice’ starting at 8 p.m. ET," the story reports. "Next Thursday, ‘Parks And Rec’s’ Halloween episode will be bumped for a ‘Saturday Night Live’ Halloween special and on Thursday, Nov. 7, a live episode of ‘The Voice’ will air at 8 p.m. ET."

The announcement comes on the heels of the cancellation of "Welcome to the Family," which aired in the time slot following "Parks and Recreation" at 8:30 p.m. ET Thursdays. NBC also canceled the drama series "Ironside."

NBC will reportedly air back-to-back episodes of "Parks And Recreation" Nov. 14 and 21, the article notes.
