NBC is working with "Parenthood" executive producer Lawrence Trilling on a drama about pharmaceutical companies, The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports.

The drama, "Empowered," will be written by Trilling, who will also direct if the project moves to the pilot stage. He will also executive produce with Shaun Cassidy. The pair previously worked together on ABC’s "Invasion," the piece notes.

The project is about a woman who works for pharmaceutical giant Omni Health, who starts to search for truth after her father is killed and a stranger claims that Omni and her husband are to blame, according to the story.
