Nothing ‘Happy’ About David Arquette’s Starring Role in Upcoming TV Movie — Except the Title

David Arquette seems like a pleasant enough guy, and his upcoming TV movie is called "Happy Face," but that’s where the pleasantries end. Deadline.com reports that Arquette will star as Canadian serial killer Keith Hunter Jesperson in the project, which is in the works at Lifetime.

Jesperson was called the "Happy Face Killer" because he drew a happy face on a bathroom wall and in letters sent to the media and prosecutors, the piece says.

"A troubled kid of an abusive alcoholic father who tortured and killed animals and attempted to kill kids who bullied him, Jesperson spent 15 years as a married truck driver with three kids before getting divorced in 1990 and pursuing a career as a policeman," the story notes.

The piece adds: "After an injury derailed his plan, he returned to truck driving and launched his murdering spree, which spanned six U.S. states. Jesperson, who is serving life in prison, clams to have killed 160 people, but only eight victims have been confirmed including his girlfriend, which led to his 1995 capture."

  1. Already over-done on The Menalist called RED JOHN. What’s up Arquette can’t come up with anything original?
