The legendary DJ Casey Kasem is said to be in "dire condition," leading to a family feud as his wife won’t allow his children to visit him, reports TMZ.com.

The children — Kerri, Julie and Mike — have reportedly been trying to visit their father for three months, the story says. They have been standing outside the house, prompting their stepmother, Jean Kasem, to call the police on them, according to the report.

Casey Kasem has advanced Parkinson’s.

"Casey’s brother, who is on the scene, tells TMZ Jean has had a strained relationship with Casey’s kids for years," TMZ reports. "The brother says he hasn’t spoken with Jean since Casey married her — 33 years. Kerri, Casey’s oldest daughter, tells us Jean has aggressively blocked the kids from the house."

One of the daughters, Kerri, told TMZ that they know they’ve been excluded from their father’s will, but are simply trying to see their dad.

Aside from Kasem’s work on radio, which includes the nationally syndicated staple "American Top 40," he voiced the character Shaggy on the popular Saturday morning cartoon "Scooby-Doo."

Jean Kasem has had a career as an actress, originating the role of Loretta Tortelli on "Cheers" before starring in the short-lived spinoff "The Tortellis."
