Some TV and Film Locations Are Off Limits With the Government Shutdown

A number of popular Los Angeles County filming locations are off limits due to the federal government shutdown, because they are federal locations and requests for filming permits cannot be processed during the shutdown, reports TheWrap.com.

The locations include the Angeles National Forest, L.A. River, Sepulveda Dam and the West Los Angeles Veterans Administration Medical Center. They have all been placed on indefinite hiatus as filming locations, said FilmLA, the nonprofit group that oversees the permitting process for the county.

Philip Sokoloski, a spokesman for FilmLA, told the website: “No requests to film in the area can be processed, so we’re not even accepting them.”
