Syfy has given the greenlight to the reality show "Opposite Worlds," which will air starting in January, reports Deadline.com.

Based on a Chilean show called "Mundos Opuestos," the series is about 14 people living in a house split in two: one half is futuristic, while other other is from the past. Because a glass wall separates the house, the team members can see each other while they perform in various challenges.

Viewers will be able to vote in real time, which will affect the outcome for each player, the story adds.
