One night after its entire Monday prime-time lineup sank to season lows, as we reported yesterday, ABC’s Tuesday night lineup struggled to find viewers, based on Nielsen overnights for the key 18-49 demo.

TVbytheNumbers.com reports that ABC’s "Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." dipped to a series low Tuesday night, tumbling two-tenths of a point from a week earlier to a 2.6 average in 18-49, while "Trophy Wife" slipped one-tenth to a 1.2, also a series low. Meanwhile, "The Goldbergs" rose one-tenth from its series low a week ago to record a 1.7.

The Alphabet Network finished third for prime time overall, just ahead of Fox and well off the pace set by NBC and CBS.

NBC claimed a narrow victory over CBS for prime time, even as "Chicago Fire" equaled last week’s season low with a 2.1 average in viewers 18-49 while "The Biggest Loser" fell three-tenths to a 2.0. Driving the NBC ratings win was "The Voice," which equaled last week’s 4.0 average to finish as the top broadcast show of the night.

CBS’s drama lineup showed its consistency, with both "NCIS: Los Angeles" (2.6 average in 18-49) and "Person of Interest" (2.2) equaling last week’s numbers, while "NCIS" slipped one-tenth to a 3.0.

Fox trailed the other big four broadcast nets, with "Dads" slipping one-tenth from a week ago to a 1.4 average in adults 18-49, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" ticking up one-tenth to a 1.6, and both "New Girl" and "The Mindy Project" equaling last week’s numbers — a 1.8 for "Girl" and a 1.4 for "Mindy."

For prime time overall, NBC came out on top with a 2.7 average in 18-49, followed by CBS (2.6 average), ABC (1.7), Fox (1.5) and Univision (1.3). CBS claimed a huge lead in total viewers, averaging 15.5 million to top NBC (9.0 million), ABC (5.1 million), Fox (3.5 million) and Univision (3.4 million).
