AMC’s ‘The Killing’ Comes Back to Life on Another Platform

"The Killing" is coming back to life yet again, after it was canceled by AMC and then revived by the network in September. Deadline.com reports that this time Netflix is the show’s savior.

The streaming service has picked up the mystery drama as a Netflix original, giving it a six-episode final season, the story reports. Fox TV Studios, which is behind the show, has made "tenacious efforts to keep it alive," the piece adds.

“The rich, serialized storytelling in ‘The Killing’ thrives on Netflix, and we believe that it is only fitting to give Sarah Linden and Stephen Holder a proper sendoff,” said Cindy Holland, VP Original Content for Netflix.
