A cable channel turned in a record performance in the ratings Sunday night, with viewers turning out in force for its lineup of unscripted programs.

Bravo Media announced that "Real Housewives of Atlanta" fueled much of the surge for the Bravo channel, complemented by a strong performance for its companion show "Watch What Happens Live."

"Housewives" made Bravo the No. 1 cable network in the 8 p.m. hour Sunday in the key 18-49 demo and delivered almost 3.7 million total viewers, as the episode became the highest rated of the season in all key demos, Bravo reported.

"Watch What Happens Live," featuring guests Phaedra Parks and Ben and Jewel Tankard, also had its most-watched episode of the season, with almost 1.4 million viewers.

"Bravo’s newest series, ‘Thicker Than Water,’ was up 18% among total viewers from the prior week’s episode (11/10/13) with over 1.8 million total viewers," Bravo reported. "Additionally, the night rounded out with ‘Fashion Queens,’ which also scored a season-to-date high among all key demos and earned nearly 1.1 million total viewers."
