Fox Sports Regional Networks Name New President

Fox Sports announced that it has named a new president of Fox Sports Regional Networks, who will also have oversight of Fox Deportes.

"Jeff Krolik, an accomplished media executive who has led the day-to-day operations for Fox Sports Regional Networks as executive vice president since 2007, has been promoted to the position of President. The announcement was made today by Eric Shanks, President and COO of Fox Sports, to whom Krolik will report," the company announced.

The announcement also says: "In addition to continuing his oversight of Fox Sports Regional Networks, which comprises an industry-leading 22 owned-and-operated networks, Krolik will assume oversight of Fox Deportes, the No. 1 U.S. Latino Sports channel. Fox Deportes leads both Univision Deportes and ESPN Deportes in year-to-date total viewers and persons 18-49."

Said Shanks: “Jeff has played a vital role in growing our regional sports network business and helping it become the industry leader it is today. I’m confident Jeff will continue to do an outstanding job managing our regional business, while also overseeing the growth of Fox Deportes.”

Krolik has been with Fox Sports since 2007, after serving as general manager of Fox Sports Bay Area from 1995-2007.

The announcement notes: "Over the past two years, Fox Sports Regional Networks has added Fox Sports San Diego, Fox Sports New Orleans, and SportsTime Ohio to its roster of owned-and-operated regional sports networks and has acquired 49% of the YES Network. Through his management of Fox Sports Regional Networks, Krolik oversees local relationships with 45 NBA, NHL, and MLB teams and is responsible for a business that produces more than 5,000 live sports telecasts annually."
