A television program featuring interviews and commentary will soon go off the air, after the host announced plans to end the show. Writing in The New York Times, Elizabeth Jensen reports that Bill Moyers plans to wrap his show "Moyers & Company" Jan. 3.

The program has been airing on public television stations via syndication since January 2012. Moyers told the stations Tuesday about his plans to end the program.

The plan is in keeping with the two-year timetable Moyers set when he debuted the show, the piece notes. At the time, Moyers had come out of a 20-month retirement.

Moyers wasn’t available for comment, the story adds.

  1. What in heck is the real story behind the on-again-off-again Bill Moyers on PBS? Strange.

  2. He is tired up swimming up a sh*t stream, as are most real journalists and moderate politicians.
