The creator of the wildly successful CBS sitcom "Murphy Brown," which ran for 10 seasons, ranking in the top 10 through much of the 1990s, and won 18 Primetime Emmys, is working on a comedy for NBC.
Deadline.com reports that Diane English has joined NBC’s comedy project featuring British girls Sophia Grace and Rosie, who appear frequently on "Ellen" in musical performances.
The project, produced by Ellen DeGeneres’ A Very Good Production and Warner Bros. TV, has received a pilot production commitment now that English has signed on, the story notes. While there’s no definite concept yet, the comedy will likely feature Sophia Grace, 10, and her cousin Rosie, 7, playing girls similar to themselves, the piece notes.
