NBC is reviving a series it canceled three years ago. The Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker reports that the network is reviving the competition show "Last Comic Standing."
The comedy talent competition lasted seven seasons in its first run on NBC, airing from 2003-2010. For its revival, it will have comedian Wanda Sykes on board as an executive producer.
The eighth season will air next summer, although it’s not known yet who will host the show. Former hosts include Jay Mohr, Anthony Clark and Bill Bellamy.
Sykes will be joined on the executive producing front by Page Hurwitz of Push It Productions, the company that is run by both Sykes and Hurwitz.
