Sound Familiar? New Show Features Five Women Talking

Nov 1, 2013  •  Post A Comment

It may sound a lot like an announcement for CBS’s "The Talk," which sounded a lot like an announcement for ABC’s "The View." But the latest announcement for a show about five women talking is for "The Real."

After a four-week test run, Warner Bros. TV Distribution/Telepictures will debut the show next fall on Fox TV stations, reports EW.com’s Inside TV.

Hosted by five women, including Tamera Mowry-Housley of "Sister, Sister" and Tamar Braxton of "Braxton Family Values," the show will receive a second window on BET, the story says. That’s similar to "The Wendy Williams Show," which airs on Fox stations and on BET.

"’The Real’ brought viewers a unique combination of elements that were missing from daytime, a real, multicultural conversation about issues that women of all ages are talking about,” said Ken Werner, president of Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, in a statement.
