"The Simpsons" will pay tribute to the late actress Marcia Wallace, who played the long-running show’s schoolteacher Edna Krabappel, reports EW.com’s Inside TV.

As previously reported, Wallace passed away Oct. 25. She was also known for her role as Carol Kester, the receptionist on "The Bob Newhart Show."

"The Simpsons" will air a classic episode that focuses on Krabappel, instead of a repeat of "American Dad," and then will air an all-new episode called "4 Regrettings and a Funeral." The show will conclude with a tribute card that honors the actress.

The special lineup, set for this Sunday, will feature the episode "Bart the Lover," from the show’s third season, for which Wallace won an Emmy in 1992. The episode, which airs at 7:30 p.m., focuses on Krabappel’s difficulties in romance.

The clip below features the extended opening to "4 Regrettings and a Funeral," which parodies "The Hobbit":
