A well-known psychic who made appearances on a number of television shows over the years has died. CNN reports that Sylvia Browne, who appeared on “Loveline with Dr. Drew,” “Unsolved Mysteries” and other shows, died at 77.

“A believer in reincarnation as well as God, Browne conducted thousands of hypnotic regressions and hundreds of trance sessions to help people around the world, according to her official biography. She explained on CNN’s ‘Larry King Live’ that she both communicated with the dead and looked into the future.”

"I don’t know how I do it," Browne said on King’s show. "I’ve done it all my life."

Browne became aware of her abilities when she was 3 years old, according to her official biography. She told King it was a “very scary thing” when she realized she could foretell if someone would die.

Browne also had detractors, including people who were critical of her telling the mother of then-missing Amanda Berry that she would see her daughter “in heaven, on the other side” during a 2004 episode of “The Montel Williams Show.” Berry was still alive, and was rescued in May after being held against her will in the Cleveland home of Ariel Castro, the story notes.

On her website, Browne posted an admission that she had been wrong. “If ever there was a time to be grateful and relieved for being mistaken, this is that time. Only God is right all the time,” she wrote in the statement.
