Comedian Roseanne Barr went on a rant over Thanksgiving, airing her discontent over a new sitcom project with NBC that’s co-written with “Nurse Jackie” showrunner Linda Wallem, reports Deadline.com.

“I’m never going to work in television again. I’m never going to even attempt it,” Barr said during the rant on Twitter.

She didn’t name Wallem specifically, but she complained that the “show runner disappeared for 7 weeks-never returned any calls from me-I was told she ‘goes in2 a cave.’” Barr added that she was disappointed with the script, which had “hardly any jokes,” and said: “I didn’t connect with the characters.”

Barr, in tweets that have since been deleted, also attacked Anderson Cooper as “a toad” and criticized Matt Williams, the showrunner on “Roseanne,” Deadline notes.

  1. This is what happens when “Nurse Jackie” is labelled as a comedy. It is not. Roseanne knows comedy and so there is no chance of a match there.

  2. Only if it were true…please oh please let Rosanne disappear again.

  3. Nurse Jackie is more of a “dramedy” because there certainly is dark humor & cosmic irony involved since show #1. But I can see where Roseanne wouldn’t be a good fit.

  4. She should team up with CHER, another bitter old woman, that hate everything since their careers are over. Hope to NEVER see either again.

  5. Promises, promises, promises!!!

  6. A very famous writer once described “Dramedy as “A comedy that is not funny.” Nurse Jackie has one comedic character and almost no comedic scenes. Roseanne probably would do drama well but probably expected something else.
