An actress who has been nominated for an Oscar, an Emmy and a Golden Globe has been signed to star in an upcoming series on ABC.

"Juliette Lewis will star opposite fellow big screen thesp Ryan Phillippe in the ABC drama series [‘Secrets & Lies’], TVLine has learned," reports our good friend — and former TVWeeker — Vlada Gelman, in a scoop.

Gelman adds, "The project — which already has a 10-episode order — is about a family man (Phillippe) who finds the body of a young boy and quickly becomes the prime murder suspect. He has no choice but to try to find the real killer as his marriage, his kids, his reputation and his sanity are all at stake. Lewis will play Detective Cornell."

Lewis was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in the 1991 movie "Cape Fear." She was also nominated for a Golden Globe for that performance.

Lewis received a nomination for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie for her role in "Hysterical Blindness" (2002).
