CBS has ordered a project from actor John Cusack ("Say Anything …," "Being John Malkovich"). The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that the project is an untitled pilot about Wall Street, with Cusack set to executive produce.
The show is about power and money, and is based on an original story from Cusack, “Justified’s" Taylor Elmore, Ben Cavell and Kevin McCabe. The teleplay was written by Elmore and Cavell for the CBS Television Studios production.
“Cusack’s involvement comes a year after the actor was among those who had been attracting offers for big-swing drama pilots,” the story notes.
Separately, CBS also picked up a pilot for an untitled family medical drama from David Marshall Grant, the executive producer of “Brothers & Sisters.” The project is about quadruplets who grew up on a reality show, the piece notes.
