One of the stars of the Showtime drama "Homeland" — who received an Emmy nomination for the role — will be a part of a new drama project at ABC.

The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that Morena Baccarin, an Emmy nominee for best supporting actress in 2013 for her portrayal of Jessica Brody on “Homeland,” has been cast in ABC’s medical drama “Warriors,” which is set at a hospital inspired by the Walter Reed Military Medical Center.

Baccarin will play Tory Sterling, a soldier and psychiatrist who returns to the medical center after a nine-month tour in Afghanistan and finds it difficult to talk about what happened to her there, the story says.

The actress was downgraded from her series regular role on “Homeland” in December, after her husband on the show was killed off, the story notes. Baccarin is returning to ABC, where she starred for two seasons in the network’s remake of “V,” a science-fiction drama.
