Hulu will fill a vacancy in its top executive ranks with a veteran of Sony Network Entertainment. TheWrap.com reports that the streaming service hired former Sony executive Tian Lim as its new chief technology officer.

Lim will fill a vacancy left by the departure of Richard Tom, who left Hulu with former chief executive officer Jason Kilar for a tech startup, the story notes. Brad Suter, who served as interim CTO, will remain on the technology team at Hulu and report to Lim.

The piece notes: “Hulu had a preexisting relationship with Lim; as SVP of product engineering at Sony Network Entertainment International, Lim oversaw North American engineering and service operations for the PlayStation Store and network features on the newly released PS4, which includes a platform for Hulu Plus.”
