Logo has renewed a series for season seven. TheWrap.com reports that the cable channel ordered a seventh season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race," ahead of the show’s sixth-season debut.

The seventh season began production Monday with a casting call, while season six is slated to debut Feb. 24, the report notes.

"The move is expected for Logo’s most popular show, but the announcement is also being timed to promote the upcoming sixth season and the fact that viewers can watch the premiere episode (sans the elimination results) early starting [Feb. 17] on the new Logo viewing app for iPhone and iPad,” the piece reports.

The show features drag queens competing against each other in different challenges. It ranks as Logo’s top-rated show, with its fifth season drawing more than 1.3 million viewers, the story notes.
