One of the biggest stars in the history of professional wrestling is set to return to the ring. The Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker reports that WWE star Hulk Hogan will be back in the spotlight tonight, Feb. 24, after a seven-year absence.
Hogan will appear on “Raw” on the USA Network and on “WWE Raw Backstage Pass” on the WWE Network, the story says. Today marks the debut of the WWE Network, a streaming video service, the report notes.
While his role on tonight’s programming is unclear, Hogan is set to return April 6 to host “WrestleMania 30.”
The piece notes, “The man who gave the world ‘Hulkamania’ in the 1980s hasn’t been part of a televised WWE event since 2007, when he appeared on the 15th anniversary of ‘Monday Night Raw.’”
It adds, “While the 60-year-old semi-retired pro wrestler is billed only as host of the event, anyone want to guess if some outrageousness will transpire and the elder statesman of wrestling will be forced to jump in the ring?”
Hogan was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005, and is also a six-time WWE Champion.
