Report: Another ‘Good Morning America’ Anchor Wants One of Those Robin Roberts Pay Bumps

A “Good Morning America” anchor is in “tense negotiations with ABC” after demanding a salary bump similar to what co-anchor Robin Roberts received, according to the New York Post’s Page Six. The story reports that the anchor is Josh Elliott.

“Sources tell Page Six that after Roberts closed a long-term contract with ABC, worth about $14 million a year, agents for Elliott have upped their demand for ‘an equally significant bump in salary,’” the story reports.

Elliott’s representatives have reportedly also talked with NBC News, although his goal is to get a new contract with ABC News, the story says.

While Elliott isn’t asking for as much money as Roberts, he wants an equivalent raise, the piece adds.

A representative for ABC said: “We are in negotiations with Josh. It is no surprise that there is a lot of interest from other networks. He is an important part of the ‘GMA’ family, and we want him to stay part of the family."

  1. Is this guy really that important to the show’s success? If only the hosts of these shows would follow the example of the “Friends” cast, everyone would get a raise…
