An upcoming series is set to debut across 10 networks simultaneously. TheWrap.com reports that the 13-episode documentary series “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey” will bow on 21st Century Fox-owned channels Sunday, March 9, at 9 p.m.

“In the U.S., the series will debut on Fox, National Geographic Channel, FX, FXX, FXM, Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 2, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Mundo and Fox Life,” the article reports. “Internationally, the series debut will be available on a total of 220 channels in 181 countries. The effort marks the first multi-network launch event for Fox Networks Group.”

Hosted by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, the show will debut more than three decades after Carl Sagan’s “Cosmos: A Personal Voyage,” which became one of PBS’s most widely viewed shows and won three Emmys. Sagan, a Cornell professor, became a household figure through the show.

“Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey” is a sequel to the original, with executive producer Seth MacFarlane working with Sagan’s original creative collaborators, writer and executive producer Ann Druyan and co-writer and astronomer Steven Soter, the story adds.

After the cross-network debut, “Cosmos” will continue its 13-episode run with airings on Sundays on Fox and on the National Geographic Channel on Mondays, the story adds.

  1. People go to sports and movie networks to AVOID this kind of ****!

  2. Dale: You probably live in Colorado or Washington, voted for marijuana, and vote Democrat because you are too stupid to actually learn something that is going on in the world. Or the area it is located in the universe (or multiverse, as I believe)

  3. Tom, my distant relation, Dale, is not to be criticized for his anger that teachings contrary to the divine word of God should be disseminated to an unsuspecting sporting afficionado. Can you picture the confusion when expecting to watch the Houston Helmets take the field against the Tennessee Teacakes, Dale and his fellow sports fans hear a scientist suggest that the Earth is older than 6000 years. Permitting such heresies free reign should be met with the ultimate punishment.
After all I was burned at the stake in 1555 for stating that the doctrines of the real presence of Christ in the mass, transubstantiation, and the propitiatory merit of the mass were unbiblical. I hate to think what they will do with someone who suggests that the Earth was not made in 6 days.
