One of the stars of the hit 1970s-1980s comedy series "Taxi" is back at ABC — where "Taxi" aired for four seasons before moving to NBC for its final cycle.
The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that “Taxi” star Judd Hirsch has joined the ABC pilot “Forever,” which comes from Matt Miller of “Chuck."
Hirsch will play Abe, the best friend to Dr. Henry Morgan, who hasn’t been cast yet. Morgan is a medical examiner who is immortal, the piece notes.
Abe is described as funny and candid, and also the only friend to Morgan.
Hirsch’s last work as a series regular was on the CBS drama “Numb3rs.”
