TV Actress Named Most Desirable Woman of 2014 — and a VERY Familiar Face Comes In Last

A television actress has been named the most desirable woman of 2014 in a new poll, and a familiar media figure landed in last place on the list, the New York Daily News reports.

The most desirable woman of the year is Emilia Clarke, one of the stars of the HBO fantasy series "Game of Thrones." Placing at the bottom of the list is high-profile pop singer Miley Cyrus.

The survey by the publication AskMen names the year’s 99 most desirable women, so it’s not as though being last on the list — No. 99 — is a bad thing. But with all the publicity Cyrus continues to receive for her often controversial antics, it’s inevitable that some observers will see her ranking as a kind of statement — especially given that Cyrus ranked No. 1 on Maxim’s Hot 100 list last summer.

The British-born Clarke, 26, plays Daenerys Targaryen on "Thrones."

"Other head-turning ladies that made the AskMen cut include ‘Community’ star Alison Brie at number two, ‘American Hustle’ actress Jennifer Lawrence at number four, Beyonce at number 11 and songstress Tayor Swift at number 30," the report notes.

AskMen noted in a press release today: "The Top 99 poll called on readers to elect women who most closely match their ideals, voting on more than just sex appeal and taking into account other criteria such as character, talent and potential for 2014."
