One of the fans’ favorite characters on the MTV drama series “Teen Wolf” is off the show. E! Online reports that actor Daniel Sharman, who plays the werewolf Isaac, won’t be back for the series’ fourth season.
His departure comes after the exit of the show’s female lead, Crystal Reed, who played Allison.
“Daniel Sharman came to us, much like Crystal did, and said that he wanted to go out for pilot season and for movies and try something new," executive producer Jeff Davis told the website.
Sharman requested that his character not be killed off, which means there’s a chance he could return, the story adds.
“He said he loved the role so much that he wanted to be able to come back if there was a chance," Davis said. "But he was at a position where he wanted to stretch his creative wings and I said to him, ‘Well, if we can’t convince you to come back, we’ll definitely leave the door open for you.’"
Sharman appeared in almost every episode of the third season, although the article notes he was never a series regular.
