Singer Justin Bieber was detained at Los Angeles International Airport by U.S. Customs officials Thursday when he re-entered the country following a visit to Asia, reports People magazine.

Bieber was detained for “routine secondary questioning,” and reportedly held for almost four hours inside the international terminal, the story notes. He was eventually released.

The singer’s DUI arrest and assault charges have led to a petition to repeal his green card, with the White House saying Monday that it wouldn’t comment on the request.
