Mickey Rooney Marathons Scheduled

A number of TV outlets have Mickey Rooney marathons lined up following the death Sunday of the Hollywood icon at age 93. Deadline.com is reporting two such events, on TCM and GetTV.

TCM will air 13 Mickey Rooney movies back-to-back on Sunday, April 13. Here's the lineup:

6 a.m. — Broadway to Hollywood
7:30 a.m. — The Devil is a Sissy
9:15 a.m. — A Family Affair
10:30 a.m. — You’re Only Young Once
noon — Captains Courageous
2 p.m. — The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
3:45 p.m. — The Human Comedy
6 p.m. — Killer McCoy
8 p.m. — Boys Town
10 p.m. — Men of Boys Town
midnight — National Velvet
2:15 a.m. — Babes on Broadway
4:30 a.m. — A Midsummer Night’s Dream

"Additionally, getTV, which had previously scheduled three Rooney movies, has re-themed them as a remembrance of the actor, running tonight," Deadline notes.

8 p.m. ET — All Ashore (1953)
9:50 p.m. — Drive a Crooked Road (1954)
11:50 p.m. — Requiem for a Heavyweight (1962)

The report notes that Rooney continued to work until shortly before his death, and will appear in the feature film "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," due to be released this year.
