USA Network, which has sought to expand its reality programming, has renewed an unscripted show. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that the cable channel will bring back “Chrisley Knows Best” for a second season.
The network ordered 12 episodes for a second season, up from the first season’s eight installments. The show will end its debut season April 22.
“‘Chrisley Knows Best’ centers on a wealthy Atlanta family led by Todd Chrisley, and follows his ‘colorful clan,’ which includes his wife, five children and two grandchildren," the report notes.
The April 8 episode drew 1.25 million viewers, including 823,000 in the 18-49 demographic. It’s the youngest-skewing original series on USA Network, with a median age of 36.5.
