CBS News has revealed plans to air a recording on which a woman can be heard pleading for her life, minutes before she was murdered, Variety reports. Portions of the recording are set to be aired on the May 10 edition of "48 Hours."

"In 2012, New York lawyer Jason Bohn killed girlfriend and Weight Watchers exec Danielle Thomas in their apartment by strangulation," Variety reports. "The four-minute-long voicemail that was accidentally captured by Bohn’s pocket dial was first revealed when it was used as evidence during his trial."

The report notes that the recording has not been heard by the public outside of the courtroom.

The piece adds: "The Associated Press reports that CBS requested a copy through the Freedom of Information Act because its contents were crucial to the jury’s deliberations and were used by both the defense and prosecution."
