Anderson Cooper’s CNN program “AC360” saw a ratings boost thanks to his interview with disgraced L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling, reports the Los Angeles Times.
The show averaged 720,000 viewers Monday night, an increase of 42% from the four-week average. The improvement was even higher in the key news demo of viewers 25-54, with a 73% increase, the story says.
The article notes: “The interview was a big get for the cable news network, which has struggled in the ratings at times when there's not a big breaking story to cover, such as the search for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. Coverage of the airliner mystery earlier this year significantly increased CNN's numbers.”
