NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden told NBC News’ Brian Williams he’s spending his time in exile in Russia watching one television show: HBO’s “The Wire,” reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker.

"Right now I'm watching a show, 'The Wire,' about surveillance, which I'm really enjoying," Snowden said. "Second season's not so great."

While Williams “didn’t linger” on Snowden’s television views, the snippet showed how Snowden is trying to “continue to live as an American,” the story notes. HBO shows recently became available in Russia.

Williams’ interview with Snowden, part of the NBC News special "Inside the Mind of Edward Snowden," drew an average of 5.91 million viewers Wednesday night, when it aired at 10 p.m., according to TVNewser. Williams’ “Nightly News” broadcast, by comparison, is averaging 8.4 million viewers.
