Actor Bryan Cranston, who earned accolades and a shelf-load of trophies — including three consecutive Emmys for outstanding lead actor in a drama series — playing Walter White on the AMC drama "Breaking Bad," dropped a hint that we may not have seen the last of White.

And now we will insert a SPOILER ALERT in case you have yet to wrap up your personal "Breaking Bad" marathon. Please don't read on if you don't want clues about what happens on the show.

In an interview Thursday with CNN's Ashley Banfield, Cranston was asked whether his character died at the end of the series. CNN reports: "Cranston said, 'Hey, you never saw bags zip up or anything. Or say … you know.' He left the rest up to viewers' imaginations."

The report adds: "In response to questions about whether the character could show up in a movie or anywhere else ever again, Cranston said: 'Never say never.'"

Was it just an offhand comment, or, as fans of "Breaking Bad" are hoping, something more?

"He may have been teasing, but that remark revived hopes for countless fans who still are mourning the loss of the character and the acclaimed series," CNN reports. "The show literally went out with a bang in September 2013 and there was even a mock funeral held for the character in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where the series was set and filmed."
