William Shatner, known for his role as Captain James T. Kirk on the original 1960s TV series "Star Trek," has signed a development deal with Internet TV network and production studio Ora.TV, The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports. As part of the deal, the actor’s Web series “Brown Bag Wine Tasting” will move to the network.
New episodes of the show, which tracks Shatner as he asks people to do blind taste tests of wine, will debut June 23, the story notes. Ora and Shatner will also develop and produce original content.
“’Brown Bag Wine Tasting’ is close to my heart, and I am delighted to partner with Ora.TV on this show," Shatner said. "I look forward to launching it in the near future and to developing new ideas with their talented team."
