The Television Critics Association Awards announced the selection of a host for the upcoming ceremony, with “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” actor Terry Crews getting the call, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The ceremony is set for July 19.
Crews will host the event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, when the awards will honor programs from the 2013-14 season in categories including drama, comedy, news and information and reality.
This year's event will mark the 30th annual Television Critics Association Awards.
“This is a major milestone for our organization, and we wanted to go all out to make it one of the biggest and best awards yet,” Scott Pierce, TCA president, said. “Terry Crews is a perfect host. His infectious personality is equal parts hilarious, bold, and down-to-earth. His work speaks for itself — from comedy and drama, to sports and reality television, Crews is a diverse talent who can truly do it all. We’re very pleased to have him on board for this landmark occasion.”
