Fox News and CNN See Ratings Bumps From Hillary Clinton Interviews

Both CNN and Fox News received ratings bumps from Hillary Clinton’s appearances on the networks, TheWrap.com reports.

CNN aired a live, commercial-free town hall, moderated by Christiane Amanpour. at 5 p.m. Tuesday. That grew its audience by 55% in the key news demographic of viewers 25-54 when compared with Monday. When the program aired again at 9 p.m., it scored as the highest-rated telecast on the network all day, the piece adds.

CNN averaged 521,000 total viewers, and 115,000 in the news demographic, TVNewser reports.

Fox News’ interview with Clinton started at 6:45 p.m., with hosts Greta Van Susteren and Bret Baier taking turns asking questions. The interview delivered 2 million total viewers and 313,000 viewers in the 25-54 demographic, TVNewser notes.

That was a 23% increase in total viewers and a 30 percent jump in the 25-54 demographic.
