They say it's important to choose one's battles wisely, and History has picked a big one for its next miniseries. The Los Angeles Times' Show Tracker reports that the cable channel is working on the six-hour “Sons of Liberty,” which will examine the American Revolution through historical characters such as Sam Adams and Paul Revere.

Ben Barnes will play Adams, while Michael Raymond James will portray Paul Revere. “Breaking Bad” star Dean Norris will appear as Benjamin Franklin.

"From the Boston Tea Party to the Declaration of Independence, 'Sons of Liberty' will tell the rebellious story of America’s greatest fight for freedom," History executive vice president and general manager Dirk Hoogstra said in a statement.
