The cancellation of one comedy series may work to the advantage of another one. TheWrap.com reports that Lisa Kudrow's "The Comeback," which is returning to HBO, has signed actress Malin Akerman, who became available after ABC canceled her series “Trophy Wife.”
The story reports: “The Lisa Kudrow comedy that was recently picked up for six new episodes after a nine-year hiatus is bringing back series regular Akerman for two episodes, according to individuals with knowledge of the situation. She will reprise her role as Juna Millken, the up-and-coming actress protege of Kudrow's Valerie Cherish.”
Akerman played the lead role on “Trophy Wife,” which was canceled after one season.
