Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti dropped the f-bomb on television, Variety reports, noting that the incident happened Monday during a parade to celebrate the Los Angeles Kings' 2014 Stanley Cup Championship.
Garcetti said, “This is a big f—— day,” according to the report.
The crowd in the Staples Center “burst into cheers at the mayor's unexpected use of the F-word,” notes the Los Angeles Times.
The president of business operations for the Kings, Luc Robitaille, spoke with Garcetti afterwards. “Well, we told our players not to curse, thanks,” Robitaille said. The Times report notes that he gave Garcetti a thumbs-up.
