An upcoming Netflix comedy series has added to its lineup of stars, bringing aboard Emmy winner and "West Wing" veteran Martin Sheen. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that Sheen is joining “Grace and Frankie,” which stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin in the title roles.

Sheen will play Robert, Grace’s husband, in the comedy about two women whose lives are disrupted when their husbands announce they are in love with each other. The show is scheduled to debut next year.

The project is written and created by “Friends” co-creator Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris.

Sheen won a Golden Globe in 2001 for "The West Wing" and an Emmy in 1994 for a guest appearance on "Murphy Brown." Fonda is a two-time Oscar winner ("Klute" and "Coming Home") and Tomlin has been a part of six Emmy wins for writing, voice-over and comedy performances, along with receiving an Oscar nomination for her performance in "Nashville."
