Disney Television Animation is readying a new series about a pickle and a peanut, with Jon Heder of “Napoleon Dynamite” providing the voice of the emotional pickle in "Pickle & Peanut," reports Deadline.com.

Johnny Pemberton will provide the voice for the peanut, described as a freewheeling character.

The buddy comedy mixes 2D animation and live-action as it tracks the two characters who are trying to break out of their underdog status. The project is slated for a fall 2015 debut on Disney XD.

Variety notes: "Disney Television Animation is also producing a third season of new 'Mickey Mouse' cartoon shorts for Disney Channel and Disney XD. And Disney Channel has ordered a second season of Craig McCracken’s animated comedy 'Wander Over Yonder,' featuring Jack McBrayer and April Winchell."
