A memorial service for Maya Angelou will be simulcast by Oprah Winfrey's cable network OWN. Deadline.com reports that OWN will televise the private memorial service set for tomorrow, Saturday, June 7, 2014, from Wake Forest University in North Carolina at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT.

The service will also be on Oprah.com, and will be live-streamed by the university as well. Angelou began teaching at Wake Forest in 1982.

"Michelle Obama will speak Saturday morning at the university’s Wait Chapel. President Obama’s sister Maya was named after Angelou, and Obama awarded Angelou with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2011," the report notes.

Angelou died at her home in Winston-Salem, N.C., last week.
