Tracy Morgan’s condition has been upgraded as he recovers from injuries suffered in a car crash last week. The New York Times reports that the actor and comedian's condition was upgraded to "fair."

Morgan, 45, had been in critical condition after his luxury van was involved in a fatal six-vehicle accident on the New Jersey Turnpike. His injuries included a broken leg, a broken nose and several broken ribs.

“His personality is certainly starting to come back as well,” his publicist said in a statement.

Morgan’s van was hit by a Walmart truck, which led to the death of another comedian in the vehicle, James McNair. Two other comedians and Morgan’s assistant were also injured in the crash.
