With its hit competition show "America's Got Talent" leading the way, NBC took a win for the week ending July 6 in the key 18-49 demo for broadcast prime time, based on Nielsen Media Research "live plus same day" figures.

CBS, meanwhile, won its third consecutive week in total viewers.

NBC noted that "America's Got Talent" was the No. 1 show for the week on the big four broadcast networks in every key measure, including adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, and total viewers — as well as kids 2-11 and teens 12-17.

CBS got a boost from its season-two premiere of "Under the Dome," noting that the program was the week's top drama and scripted series in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

"The second season premiere of 'Under the Dome' was first in viewers (9.41m), adults 25-54 (2.8/08) and adults 18-49 (2.1/07), and was Monday's top program in viewers and key demos," CBS announced.

NBC touted its success since the traditional season wound down, noting that it "has now finished #1 in 18-49 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox during five of seven weeks since the end of the traditional season, finishing #2 only during the two weeks ABC carried NBA Finals coverage."

NBC also pointed out that “America’s Got Talent” has been performing well, noting: "The five regular original telecasts of 'Talent' so far this summer have generated the top five 18-49 and total-viewer results among all entertainment broadcasts on the Big 4 networks since the end of the May sweep."

Among the big four broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox), NBC ranks No. 1 through 41 weeks of the 2013-2014 broadcast year in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and all key adult-female demos. "It’s the first time NBC has ranked #1 in adults 18-49 at this point in the season in 10 years (since the 2003-04 season)," the network noted.

CBS noted that it "won its third consecutive week in viewers led by the season premiere of 'Under the Dome,' 'Big Brother' and rebroadcasts of 'The Big Bang Theory.'"

"All three broadcasts of 'Big Brother' finished in the top 10 among adults 18-49, with 'Big Brother Sunday' at #3 (1.9/07), 'Big Brother Wednesday' tied at #5 (1.8/07) and 'Big Brother Thursday' tied at #8 (1.6/06)," CBS announced.

Three CBS rebroadcasts of 'The Big Bang Theory' also placed in the top 10, both among viewers and in adults 18-49.
