Acclaimed actor Taye Diggs, who was a regular on "Private Practice" and is known for his work in features including "The Best Man" and "How Stella Got Her Groove Back," is joining the CBS drama "The Good Wife."
TheWrap.com reports that Diggs, a mainstay on the awards circuit and the winner of a Screen Actors Guild Award, two Image Awards and a Critics Choice Award from the Broadcast Film Critics Association, among many other awards and nominations, is slated for a multi-episode arc during "The Good Wife's" next season.
Diggs will play an equity partner at Lockhart/Gardner, Dean Levine-Wilkins. His character will join Christine Baranski’s character, Diane Lockhart, when she leaves the firm to join Alicia Florrick (played by Julianna Margulies) at her new firm.
“We couldn't be more excited to have Taye on the show,” co-creators Robert and Michelle King said in a press release. “We've been huge fans for years, and love his ability to play comedy and drama with equal ease.”
