A longtime television public relations executive has been hired as the new senior vice president, corporate communications, for Bounce Media and Katz Broadcasting. The hiring of Jim Weiss for the post was announced today.

“Weiss will oversee all PR, publicity and media relations efforts for Bounce TV, the country’s first-ever over-the-air broadcast television network for African Americans, as well as for the nation’s first-ever female-centric and male-centric over-the-air broadcast television networks — Escape (For Women) and Grit (For Men) — launching this summer,” the announcement says.

Weiss was most recently vice president of communications and public relations for entertainment and sports marketing agency CSE.
