Until Thursday, Bill Cosby was staying largely silent as more and more women came forward to publicly accuse him of sexual assault. But on Thursday he took legal action in response to one claim.
TMZ.com reports that Cosby filed legal documents saying that Judy Huth approached his attorney last month and demanded money in exchange for keeping silent. Huth reportedly increased the demand as more women came forward, according to the documents.
The documents also say that Huth — who is claiming she can file a civil lawsuit despite the statute of limitations because she has remembered these repressed memories in the past three years — tried to sell her story to the tabloids a decade ago.
Moreover, TMZ reports, the documents debunk Huth’s claim that she and the comedian played a drinking game, noting that Cosby is “a life-long non-drinker.”
As we reported this week, Huth filed a lawsuit against Cosby alleging that the comedian assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion in 1974, when she was 15 years old.

I thought in this country people are innocent until proven guilty, no matter who they are?
She has not EVEN shown she was ever at said club. The friend supposedly with her hasn’t said a word. They were probably never even there.
